ACRYLIC SEALANT

STARRY ACRYLIC SEALANT S100 is a flexible, water based, non-toxic gap filler for indoor and covered outdoor use prior to painting or other finishing work. STARRY ACRYLIC SEALANT S100 can be applied on joints to prevent cracks between gypsum board, wood or concrete. It can also be applied between walls, ceilings, corners, door/window frames, walls and along baseboards and cornices.

SURFACEPREPARATION

surfacemustbethoroughlycleanedasuitablesolventsuchalcohol, xylene, or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). Make sure the surface isdryclean and free from paint & contaminants such as dirt, dust, loose material, oils & chemicals. For polycarbonate and acrylic resin, n-hexane should be used in orderpreventsolvent-cracking.

TIP:Usemaskingtapebestresultandaperfectlystraightapplicationline. Applytapeprotectingbothsidesgapbesealed.Remove

tape before the sealant is dry.

APPLICATIONGUIDE

Application

Use a standard caulking gun to dispense the sealant.Toolimmediately, within 5 minutes of application, with a spatula to spread the sealant against the back-up material and joint surfaces. Sealant will begin to skin on the exposedsurfaceinabout10minutesandcurewillprogressinward.

Note: The use of a caulking gun ensures even distribution for a professional ﬁnish.

TIP:Hold the sealant gun at an angle of 45° while pulling the gun towards yourself. Find the right working speed to properly ﬁll the necessary gaps.

For areas with deep surfaces: Ensure the sealant is in contact with both sides of joints and gaps. Use foam backer rods to establish good bondingsidesandcontroldepthsealant.

Finishing

Wetyourﬁngersoapywatersmoothenoutsiliconesealantseam.The soap prevents the sealant from sticking to your ﬁnger. Remove any excesssealantfromsurfaceknifeorspatula.Dependingonhumidity& temperatureappliedsealantistouchdryafterapprox.30minutes.

Note: Protect from water exposure for at least 4 hours after application.
